Militancy weakened, not uprooted yet: IGP

Militancy couldn't be evacuated yet, it has been debilitated, Inspector General of Police Shahidul Huq said today.

All the senior activists have been killed, some have been murdered in different operations the nation over and some were caught, the IGP said.

"The whole nation needs to approach, everybody must know about it and at exactly that point we can evacuate militancy," the police supervisor said amid an Eid get-together with wrongdoing columnists and writers at the Police Headquarters' cafeteria on Minto Road.
